Rather than fill out a journal I thought this lengthy meme from might serve well as a description...after all, it *is* all about ME!

1. What does your deviantart name mean and why?

Planet Ruth - My name is Ruth & when I created the name I was big into SF. Still am in a way, but DA is now the only place I use it. Everywhere else I'm known as LovelyRuthie.

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?

Harry Potter & now Doctor Who.

5. Do you comment, fav, or both?

I do both. I try & make my comments a form of critique but now we have the critique option I'm rather impressed with that.

6. Do you participate in clubs' contests here on DA?

I have done in the past & have won two individual's contests with Hydra & My Raven.

7. What is your most popular deviation?

Lupin & Tonks HBP is my most popular in regard to s/pageviews. It's not a bad piece but Remus definitely needs to be a little taller I think.

8. What are your favourite non-anime TV shows?

Well that's pretty easy being as I don't like *any* Anime shows At the moment, Doctor Who, Lost, Heroes, House, American Dad! & Being Human are the few I hate to miss.

9. What are the things you wish you could draw better?

Backgrounds & technical stuff, like cars & weaponry.

10. Summer or winter?

Out of the two, Winter because it has Christmas which is my favourite family-type time of the year. My favourite season is spring however, for me always a time of positive change.

11. Rain or Sun?

Sun...not too much, but I like to get my washing dry *sad*

12. What's your favourite type of music?

I have eclectic tastes. I listen to almost everything, bar highly experimental stuff & RnB/HipHop etc. Metal, rock, classical, alternative, 80s cheese, swing/big band even Pop on occassion.

13. PC or Mac?

Definitely PC. I don;t care how 'intuitive' Macs are to use, I don't seem to have that intuition!

14. Anime or Manga?

I'm not a fan of either really, but at a push, anime. I've watched more than I've read.

15. Coke or Pepsi?

Diet coke. At one time I was a Diet coke addict...but no more & my health is very glad of that!

16. Read or TV?

I used to be an avid reader...but telly will always be my first love

17. How many hours a day do you spend on DA?

A couple of hours on average. I usually have a tab open the whole time I'm on the PC but am only actively using the site for an hour or so.

18. Name a hidden talent.

It's hidden from DA for confidentiality reasons but I'm very good at taking photos/portraits of children. I work with 3-4 year olds & need to take photos of their progress but am able to take surprisingly good portrait shots of even the most difficult children.

19. Flash or traditional cartoons?

Definitely traditional. There's a huge bank of work out there compared to Flash animation.

20. What is your favourite fast food restaurant?

Probably MacDonalds...can't beat a Quarter Pounder with Cheese

21. What are your top 3 favourite books?

The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams, Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban - JK Rowling & The Stand - Stephen King.

22. Wii or Playstation?

I'm a rubbish gamer - but I can play Wii games without complete failure, so Wii for definite

23. Name 3 of your favourite bands.

Elbow, The Feeling, Barenaked Ladies

24. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?

Medium compared to IT people, but uberfast compared to most other people I know

25. Do you like Denny's?

I ate there a couple of times when holidaying in Florida. Perfectly edible, enjoyed my meal...& the pies were superb!

- It's the one I use most often.

Mmm...Banoffi!

28. Have you ever stayed up for 24 hours?

Yes...after a flight back from Florida. I then slept 24 hours to make up for it

29. Do you go on YouTube a lot?

Either when I'm sent a link by a friend or if I'm looking to listen/watch music/music videos.

30. Are you a member on any other sites besides DA?

Yes. I'm on Elfwood.

31. Do you cosplay?

Not as such. I've dressed up as a Pirate, witch & Frankenstein's monster at various fancy dress parties though.

I eat more sweets, but probably enjoy fruit more...

Buttered & salted please!

34. Have you skipped school?

No. I skipped a class once though. I used to get out of school 'off sick' a lot though. I became an expert at feigning illness throughout secondary school

35. Have you been on a plane?

Four times...I don't enjoy the experience

36. Have you swam in an ocean?

I am a really *bad* swimmer. I don't trsut myself in the kiddy pool, let alone the SEA!

37. Have you been ice skating?

Not since I was a teenager. Always did myself damage when I attempted it.

38. Favourite vacation spot?

Not much of a holidayer...never had the money. The last little break with Jez that I enjoyed *very* much was York. So, York!

39. Ever been on TV?

I've been in TV audiences more than once - 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks', 'QI' & a few other shows, but not actually *on* TV. I did record a fan commentary for Red Dwarf though & I'm on the Series 5 DVD.

40. Favourite salad dressing?

Blue cheese...or just some simple pesto based dressing...mmmm...

41. What do you do to relax?

Draw.

42. What is the last film you saw in the theatres?

HellBoy 2...I don't go to the cinema much any more.

Egg mayo & onion with corned beef & mustard...funnily enough my own concoction

44. If you could go anywhere in the world...

I'd really like to have a year off with all the money I needed & spend it in the most beautiful places in the British Isles. The UK is stunning, you've just got to look for it.

Mealtimes

46. What did you want to be when you were little?

Once, I wanted to be a ballerina...then a teacher & an artist.

47. What do you want to be now?

I *am* a teacher...just need to get paid more often for my art

Usually at work it'll be along the lines of 'when are you going to...?' when whatever it is, whoever it is asking me to do, isn't even my responsibility, but it ends up being mine anyway.

It's equal between Ghostbusters & the Back to the Future films.

I love the way Cerulean Blue rolls off the tongue...but I'd be some sort of vibrant, warm red I think.

Probably mouth first, then the eyes. It's good if they have both

Softball - I'm crap with a bat but the Queen of catching people out
